 Been Awhile!

I didn't realize that I let this go for so long! Wow!

I guess the holiday hoopla got in the way of my writing...but not my game watching.

Let's see, there was the week that the Browns played in a near blizzard against Buffalo and won...while the rest of the AFL north teams lost. But the next week they came back and LOST a game that should have been won...against those BenGALS. Anderson was feeling quite generous and was giving the other team the ball...early Christmas gifts. I would really rather he had given to another charity. Our loss last week has brought things down to waiting on my other favorite team to help out the Browns and hand the Titans a loss so that the Browns get a wild card spot. It isn't that the Colts can't beat the Titans...but since they already have a playoff spot, they just might send in the bench warmers to play...and lose it to the Titans...thus sealing the Browns fate.

I won't even go into the Cavs' performance. I'm just glad to see Varajao on the court in a Cavalier uniform again.

So, in half an hour, the game that will either make or break the Browns will begin.

And all I have to say to Eli Manning is ....WHY? Why couldn't you hold it together just a little longer? NEPs

***************
Okay...so the Browns' season is over. The Colts didn't help us...but it wasn't their job. I'm still pretty happy with what they accomplished this year. They had a pretty good run...especially compared to what they have NOT been in a long time. Perhaps next year we will have a better rhythm going. I also am happy with the fact that we finished the regular season with the same record as the Steelers...though technically they are up on us becuz we lost both games against them. But if you look at it as it is, we both have 10-6. Not bad. (oh...guys...so sorry for that loss to those nasty Ravens today. Who would have thunk it? Especially since the Ravens were the ONE win the Dolphins had? shrug...it happens.)

And now...nothing but net from here on. If the Cavs don't start pulling something out of their hat...I won't pay too much attention to the basketball season. I like sports but when I have a kid to home school plus my own classes to attend to...I only have so much time and attention to give. They need to give me a reason...

 Disappointing

I have to get this out of the way first:
The Steelers disappointed me terribly. I thought for sure with the ALMOST upset by the under developed Ravens that the Steelers would be able to bring down the NEPs and ruin their perfect record...or at least make Tom Baby...I mean Brady...not so purty anymore. How devastatingly disappointing.

Also disappointing...the Browns win over the Jets. Why? Cuz...the coulda done betta. The D-Fence showed signs of a vast improvement 3 weeks ago THEN they crumpled in front of the Cardinals (of all teams...why not just lose to the Dolphins? ) and then they ALMOST lost it to the Jets...they let them get too durned close.

At least the Titans lost today.

But there is next week...the Browns face the Bills. sigh...

 Breveland Clowns

What a great weekend to be a Buckeye fan. Ohio State went from #1 to #7 to #5 to #3 AND this weekend, due to the generosity of WV and Mizzou, they are back at #1. Thank you! Thank you very much!

Watching the Browns/Cardinals game...sheesh. What can I say? Last week we had a team, this week we didn't. The Cardinals were playing pretty good BUT the Browns did way more harm to themselves. Tripping themselves, interceptions, kicking the ball (um...not the designated kicker), false starts...the list of STUPID STUPID penalties goes on and on! They deserved to lose today. Suckage guys. You were swimming in it today. Even our second string quarterback, Brady Quinn, looked like his eyes had glazed over. I think he was standing there listening to his MP3 player and 'pretending' to watch the game.

The Cavs aren't looking like contenders for much this year. And I really haven't gotten into the basketball mentality, yet. They haven't given me a good enuff reason to.

Next week the Browns face the Jets. Another 'iffy' game. Could go either way...depends on who is wanting it more. I think if the Browns leave their clown suits locked up, they might be able to do SOMETHING.
