While it took the Tribe 11 innings yesterday to defeat the Reds, it took them 12 long, excruciatingly boring innings to lose to them today.
Tonight's NBA Finals game was, how shall I say? Like watching the Cleveland Browns play...anyone. They looked like a bunch of shell shocked HS basketball players running around the floor. They finally showed up the 4th quarter...to far behind for it to matter. The Spurs' Tony Parker can hit anything he shoots. Ginobli isn't far behind. 'King' James seemed to have vaseline on his hands...he couldn't hang on to the ball to save his life...until the 4th quarter. But like I said, by then, it just didn't matter.
I am REALLY hoping that they work out some kind of strategy before the next game. If they had anything worked out for this game...it sure didn't show. Or was the strategy to dazzle the Spurs with chit?
Tonight didn't go any different than I expected. Actually, I was glad to hear from Tim Duncan that the Cavs worry them...even after tonight. We really didn't do so badly. We fell down and fell behind in a few places. I see what the Spurs were doing with their defense...I hope the Cavs can learn to do the same and figure away to get around their whole defense.
Tim Duncan wasn't the biggest problem that I could see tonight. It was Tony Parker. I wish he would decide to elope with Eva on Sunday. Oh, well.
I really like the way they list the playoff schedule...after game 5, 6, and 7 they have the words *if necessary*. It is those words after game 5 that really bug me. They don't even give us ONE game.
Oh, well...it will be what it is. I am just happy to have them there playing in the Finals.
This is a rough draft of a movie my son is working on...he did really well except the type needs to be a different color AND there is ONE glaring mistake...you will see it...he is going to redo the thing...but I like it anyway.(that was the first try)
The Tribe lost to the Tiggers tonight...but I have a theory...they were playing in downtown Cleveland, too...and the team wanted to be at the Cavs game! After the disappointing Tribe loss, the baseball fans...Cleveland and Detroit alike...spilled into the Cleveland streets to watch the BIG Q screen...and watch the Cav victory!
A 21 minute delay becuz of game clock technical problems may have thrown the Cavs out of their rhythm...but after a half-time reprieve they maintained throughout the 3rd and poured it on throughout the 4th...2 technical fouls got Rasheed Wallace EJECTED (wah!) and Rip Hamilton fouled himself out of the game a little more than half-way through the 4th.
While game 5 was the LeBron show...Game 6 belonged to Daniel "Boobie" Gibson. The so-called Rookie showed just what he is made of and that he is just as much an important part of the team as LeBron.
A little dancing across the floor by Donyelle Marshall put the crowd into a 'party' mood AND managed to fluster the opposing team even more.
While analysts doom the Cavs to 5 games and out with the Spurs...we DID beat them 2-0 this season. Only time will tell. No one expected us to take out the Pistons. We were able to keep the Pistons from firing consistently...perhaps we can take the bite out of the Spurs.
All I can say to the Spurs at this point is...BRING IT!
