Browns, Indians, Cavs, etc.

 Squeakers

*SQUEAK*

That's the sound of the Cavs JUST getting by the Nets last night. But, a win is a win. And the next game will be played in Cleveland. With a little skill, it will be the last. Then on to playing the Pistons...again...like last year. Only I hope we get different results this year.

As for the Indians... I enjoyed their time at the top of the AL Central while I could. And the CHISOX are closing in fast. Nothing really new...deja vu.

and...as always...I'm off like a dirty shirt.

 Dang, Dang, And MORE Dang!

The Indians had it...for 7 1/2 innings the HAD it! A 2-0 lead over the Angels. THEN...the death toll. They left Byrd in to pitch one too many innings. The Angels got 3 scores in the bottom of the 8th. SON OF A BYZANTINE! And the rest of the team just couldn't seem to muster and help to get us back on top.

The only bright spot was the assist from the Mariners. They beat out the Tigers 9-2...which keeps the Indians 1/2 game ahead of the Tigers in the AL Central standings. I was SO hoping with the Tigers' loss the Indians would pull out a win...and put us farther ahead. Shudda known betta!

AND the Jazz managed to get a leg up on the Warriors again. The Warriors came out swinging and I thot that just maybe they were going to take it this time. I have nothing against the Jazz. I just think it is so cool that the Warriors could come from the bottom of the pile to beat out the top reigning Mavericks...it would be fun to see them ride that wave a little higher. *sigh*

Time to find my life again and do something with it for the day. Have a good one!

 Rebound

So LeBron had to pour it on last night! Good thing for us Jason Kidd can't carry his team.

I am also thrilled with the rebounding of the Cavs. AND Z! Last year's playoffs he looked like dead weight! He has been doing alot of incredible work this season. Do you think his contract was threatened? Or was it the facial hair that was slowing him down?

 Still Waiting

It's 11:30 at night and I am not going to hang on much longer...if I do I will update my post.

As it stands the Cavs have won the first two games of the playoff series against the NY Nets. They are showing some lagging..but they ALWAYS do some energy pumping in the 4th quarter.

The Spurs took the first game in the series against the Suns...that was a surprise. After all, the Suns are pretty tuff competitors. But, as Golden State has shown, in the playoffs anything can happen. As I'm writing this, their second game isn't halfway done, yet and they are neck and neck.

The Indians are losing their standing at the top of the AL Central...unless they can keep their place ahead of the Angels. Right now it is the bottom of the 6th and the Indians are up 3-0. If we pull this out, we can keep that half step ahead of the Tigers for a day or two longer. As stats go, there are only two teams ahead of us, overall...Red Sox (of course) and Brewers. It is just so wonderful to be in front of the White Sox for a while.

*btw...the Indians won over the Angels 5-1 and the Suns ended up whomping the Spurs.

That's about it....

I'm off like a dirty shirt.

Baseball, Basketball and a wee bit o'Football

You know what really makes me feel good? Seeing the Indians still perched (albeit precariously) at the top of the AL Central standings. I realize the Detroit Tigers ( DETROIT!) are breathing down our necks so closely that we can smell what they had for lunch a week ago...but for now I can enjoy it!. And after two drubbings in a row by the Orioles, it was a relief to see the Indians find their footing again and dismantle that nest!

And, another relief...the Cavs managed to squeak past the Nets in the first of the 7 game series. I hope that we don't go the whole 7 games! LeBron was ill but pulled it out pretty well. Gooden was on fire and Pavlovic managed to pull his weight. And then there is Sideshow-Bob-Anderson-Varajo...he was his usual energetic, quick self! We just might make it to the Big One! The only thing MORE shocking was to see the Suns fall to the Spurs! OUCHIE!!!

Do the Patriots REALLY think that Randy Moss is going to help them get back to the Super Bowl? That boy is almost more trouble than he's worth.
