Browns, Indians, Cavs, etc.

 Good Times, Good Times....

Yesterday was a pretty good College Football day. Of course there was the win of Ohio State over Penn State...poor Joe. Not only was he having to stay up way past his bedtime, but he had to watch his team lose. I feel real bad about that one (NOT)

I also loved the fact that Mississippi State DEMOLISHED Kentucky! WOOHOO! I have my own personal reasons for NOT liking Kentucky. AND of course I'm dancin' over the Georgia Bulldogs upending the Florida Gators! The poor South Carolina GAMECOCKS fell to the Tennessee Volunteers...sending Steve Spurrier ducking his head. Another darn.

I am sorry that Minnesota couldn't beat up Michigan. I guess you can't get everything you want.

Well...the Cleveland Browns managed to pull one out today against the St. Louis Rams. That sent the Rams even deeper to a 0-8 record. The Browns struggled with that last place embarrassin' defense. Pitiful. AND we could have trounced them MORE EXCEPT Braylon Edwards just HAD to show how bad he is by celebratin' his badness with taking off his helmet. The look on Romeo's face! You gots to fine that boy, Romeo. None of that stupidity. It isn't like he's a rookie any longer! Stupid, stupid, stupid. Wait until you WIN the game and the last whistle is blown...THEN strut your stuff and yank off the helmet! SHEEEEEEESH!

(*an aside...this is a tad juvenile...but...I couldn't help but crack up until my sides hurt when one of the announcers said Fakhir Brown's name so fast and so wrong that it came out like 'F-ck here Brown'...okay...I'm done)

I was happy to see the Colts also continue their rise to fame and fortune. I just LOVE Peyton Manning! However, next week I am going to split from my normal Browns wear and don a Colts shirt...cuz I just despise Tom Brady and Randy Moss...I want to see the Colts put them in their place (please? ) Tom Brady... cack...gack...patooie.

I may have to wear my Browns earrings, though, since they go up against Seattle. The next three games are going to be murder (Seattle, Steelers, Ravens) and if this team plays like they did today...especially the LAST PLACE DEFENSE (yes, I needed to get that out of my system) then we have no hope. I hope Romeo rips those guys a new one...he was climbing all over them and Todd Grantham on the side line. I say...send Todd packin'. I'll even pack his stuff for him, guide him to the bus station and give him a helping kick GOOD BYE!

I was also disappointed to see the Steelers win over the Bengals..altho not surprised. Only cuz I would have liked to see the Steeler's record come down to the Browns' level. Then the only ones left muddying up the bottom in our division would be those pesky baby Bengals and Too-Bad-So-Sad-Poor-Chad.

And life goes on. Wednesday night is the first REAL season Cavs bb game...unfortunately it is against the Mavs. AGAIN

 This Could Be Embarrassing

Saturday night...8 p.m....#1 Ohio State vs. #24 Penn State
Unranked (until this week) Penn State...can they upset Ohio State? With the way games are going in the NCAA you never know. Teams that were highly ranked at the beginning of the season have found themselves beaten into the ground by unranked teams that no one thought would stand a chance. Ohio State has steadily risen to the top of the pile after starting the season ranked at 15. They managed to keep their spot after last weekend...and Penn State managed to get in the top 25...finally. It is said that Ohio State will have more competition from this point on...we will see. And as always...the best game will be saved for last...Ohio State vs. Michigan. I almost would hate to see Ohio State go to the National Championship after last year's debaucle. That was just down right embarrassin'.

On Sunday the Browns take on a winless St. Louis Rams...in St. Louis. The Rams are fighting for their lives. The Browns are playing on a high becuz they see some hope...after winning half of their games...best record they've had in a while! We shall see if the Browns' offense can continue their great new found cohesiveness with Derek Anderson AND if the defense got their chit together during the bye week as promised by Romeo. We shall also see if the return of some key players to the Rams lineup (from injuries) will help them over come their losing streak. I think if anyone could make the Rams feel better, it could be the Browns...and that is not a diss on my team. I just know better than to get my hopes up. Cleveland sports teams have a way of building their fans up and bringing them to the oasis in the desert...only to find out it is a mirage.

Thank gawd the baseball season is over in Cleveland. I was surprised to see them get as far as they did becuz it seemed like they were sputtering throughout the season. But I was equally surprised to see them play so very hard through the AL championship games to win 3 of the first 4 and then seemingly quit. They looked like after facing Beckett in game 5 they were just too shocked to snap out of it. It was like...okay, guys...let's just give 30% and get the heck out of here. I don't know about you but I'd just as soon be home drinkin' beer and watching someone else play out there in Colorado. Whateva guys. You took the Cavs route.

The Browns think they can make the playoffs. I'll just be happy if the defense plays respectable and I don't have to be totally embarrassed to wear my Browns gear in public...remember...I live in BenGALS country...at least I don't have to get behind Chad-so-sad Johnson.

 Can You Say CHOKE?

Cleveland sports teams never cease to disappoint.

The Tribe got frustrated in game 5 and then quit. Tonight's game was played by a bunch of guys that just looked like they were totally out of steam/didn't care. Like they wanted the season to be over for them so they could go home and soak their feet, drink beer and play video games. Whateva. Enjoy yourself. You guys played hard...just wish you hadn't given up like you did.

I would NEVER want to be a baseball player. TOO many games! After a year of that, I'd quit.

And the Steelers saw their hopes go sailing between the goal posts with a game winning field goal by Broncos kicker Elam. In the final 2 seconds of the game even. What a heart breaker.

At least I didn't have to watch the Browns lose this week. At least we've been consistant so far...lose/win/lose/win/lose/win

I will have to be happy with watching Ohio State for now. At least they rose steadily to #1. The season will get harder now. What I'd like to know is WHY these so called sports analysts thot that Michigan State was going to give Ohio State such a hard time? yeah...right. You id-e-ots!

 Awake...awake...

I was upset that the Tribe not only lost...but lost big. I was hoping CC could pull it together a bit better. However, 4 in a row proved to be too much. We have 2 more chances. Hopefully we can pull one out on Saturday night. So what if it is in Boston. We did good last Saturday.

The Browns have a rest this week. I hope during that rest the D-fence will get their chit together. Our offense is doing good! They look like they know what they are doing finally. A TEAM.
Now if the other half of the team will just get it together, we may do well the rest of the season...and actually make a good attack on the Squealers when next we meet.

now...the Patriots. I have a personal opinion about Mr. Tom Brady.
He may be a really good quarterback. Granted he can play...no denying it. However, I wouldn't give him the time of day if I ran into him on the street. Why not? Here is a guy that is way too full of himself...always looking for that next best thang. He had himself an actress gf...shacked up...she got pregnant...he left...and while she is going through the pregnancy he is sporting some super model around. Budchen? something Budchen...I don't pay much attention to anorexic clothes hangers. The gf has the baby and he is seen out later that night on the town with the anorexic clothes hanger. I have no use for someone with such poor taste. I don't care how much money he makes or how well he can quarterback a game.

And that may not have had anything to do with sports, really...but I had to say it.

 I Know, I KNOW!

There are no words for...these last two games...the Tribe...

oh...wait...a bit of moisture in the corner of me eye...

Um...TTTTTOOOOOOTTTTT

sorry about that...a runny nose is just not fun.

ANYWAY...only one game away from putting the lights out on the Red Sux...uh Sox. Thursday night my bro and dad have tickets to see the FINAL game (we HOPE). CC will be up again. We can do it IF CC can get some control of that ball! He really sucked it up last Friday night. Not his usual self. He has a chance to redeem himself.
