 Pardon Me....

Okay...so...perhaps I shouldn't have made anything out of the Patriots video taping the other teams signals? Hey...if there wasn't something wrong with it, then other teams wouldn't have complained so much...and it wouldn't have been news. I am sorry...but saying that other teams do it...pissant excuse. That's like your kid being caught getting a candy bar by 5 finger discount and he counters with, "other ppl do it".

There are rules and regulations. It is unsportsmanlike to NOT follow the rules...otherwise, why bother? The Pats didn't follow the rules, they got caught, and I am sure nothing will really come of it. It just puts a black mark on the team...becuz like Barry Bonds and the steroids, it makes the fans wonder...and it is difficult to take their 'wins' seriously. Did they come by them honestly...or did they cheat each time?

Cheating is cheating...no matter what kind of cheating it is. Whether it is taping of signals, shooting steroids, chop blocking, etc.

I don't take sports all the serious. It is a fun past time. (except watching the Browns TRY to play football). I get disgusted with all the antics and stupidity by the players...and the coaches.
But, in the long run...I just enjoy watching a good game whether it is baseball, football, basketball. It would just be nice if they would all play above board...no cheating. Then no one will have to wonder if they really are that talented or....

 Na-na-na-na-NA-na! Cheater, cheater, CHEATer!

First shock of the evening for me...The Browns got rid of Charlie Frye. The SeaHawks and make something out of him...the Browns fans boo him...he might produce better for a REAL team, anyway.

The second 'shock' of the evening...The Patriots being caught red handed video taping the signals for the other teams...DAMN brilliant! Come on Belly-chick. I wondered how come you sucked so badly in your role as a Browns coach but SUDDENLY you become head coach of the Pats and take off. Apparently Romeo didn't share your dishonest streak...I mean...you can't suck any worse than the Browns. (I think I am going to start calling them the Cleveland Orecks). Perhaps the Pats will not be seeing SuperBowl this year.

WHERE IS THE TEAM YOU PROMISED????

Yesterday was another (snicker snicker) embarrassment for Michigan U. Ohio State, of course, didn't make as good of a showing as I had hoped...but at least they didn't get run over and buried.

Speaking of getting run over and buried... I am REALLY P.O.'d!!! When He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named pulled the Cleveland Browns out of Cleveland and transplanted them to Baltimore...we (Browns fans) were permitted to keep the name with the promise that we would be given another team. WE'RE STILL WAITING!!!

That 'team' we had on the field in the meantime wearing Cleveland Browns uniforms was a disgrace to the NFL! Where did they get these guys? I know...they are all those guys that you see waiting at the freeway off ramps holding signs asking for financial help. Right?
Someone needs to tell these guys how to at least LOOK like they have SOME idea how to play the game. For instance...the receiver is supposed to hold on to the ball...the quarterback isn't. I think Charlie Frey was sacked more times than groceries as the local quickie mart. And for the sack of all that is human...will SOMEONE show Braylon Edwards HOW to close your hands around a ball once it hits your palms? The only one out there today that had ANY concept of how to play football was Kellen Winslow (I am SO sorry I was calling for the scissors on ya, man! ). Oh...and a few good plays for Vickers, too. Oh, and CRIBBS...when they punt the ball to the other end of the field, and you are the designated punt returner...you are supposed to TRY and CATCH the ball and run to the opposite end of the field.

Then when the Steelers players started letting the ball drop out of their hands or bounce of their chests and hit the ground in the 4th quarter my son yelled, "Quick! Get out of Cleveland before The Suck sticks to you too!" To which my husband replied, "We would have to step UP to be at Suck." I agree.

And what the heck happened to Da Bears? GGGEEEEEEZZZZZ!!!! Of course, you KNOW you have problems when you lose to the Browns...even if it WAS just pre-season.

Romeo...do you hear the death knoll? And Quinn...just WHY did you want to play for Cleveland? Seriously...

The ONLY two bright spots in sports for me tonight...the Tigers were drowned by the Mariners...and as of this writing the Tribe is out distancing the Angels. Garko had himself a 3 run homerun. Yessssss!

 Well, well, well....

Ohio State did a pretty good number on Youngstown State...even with some of our 2nd and 3rd string players in the game. I didn't expect the scarlet and gray to do any different. Youngstown State... .

Of course, y'all know I was shedding some major tears over the Michigan loss to Appalachian State...tears of laughter! Oh, Boy! Don't get me wrong...those AS boys can play some really good ball! But when you consider that AS isn't ranked and Michigan was ranked as 5th while OSU was ranked 11th!!!! What was that I heard falling and go 'thud' Could that be Michigan's ranking? Darn shame.

The only thing that really curdled my milk was the HUGE 59-0 win of Penn State over Florida International. First of all...Fla International? That's okay Penn State...bring it.

I certainly hope the Tribe steps it up tonight and puts a win up over the White Sox A-gain since the Tigers managed to beat out the A's today. I kinda liked having that 5.5 game cushion and we NEED it. There's still a lot of season left and the Tribe needs to keep their place at the top of the AL Central.

AND tonight I FINALLY get to watch that Browns win over the Bears! This is what I call a GOOD Saturday...other than doing laundry, that is...football, baseball...sunshine...it just don't get no betta than dis.

Just Wish I Could've SEEN It!!!

It really sucks having this DirecTV sometimes...they won't show Cleveland games unless you pay EXTRA for them! However, the NFL has given DirecTV exclusive rights to sell their game package...so that is why we have it...so we can watch FOOTBALL!!!! Dang. I have to watch most of the Tribe games in delay on my puter. The other good thing about DirecTV right now is that The Big Ten Network is in dispute with Time Warner Cable over how TW is making their subscribers pay extra to view it so BTN isn't allowing TW to air their games for now...DirecTV at least is letting its subscribers view it as part of the regular package. So, while TM cable subscribers will NOT be view the Ohio State game at home tomorrow, I will!

Last night was BRILLIANT as far as the Browns game!! It was a shocker to just about everyone! The Browns taking down the BEARS, 19-9!!!! And I thot the Browns were going to get clotheslined. Just wish I could have seen Crib's 70 punt return. Well, I CAN but I have to wait until Sunday to see the game. Sucks. I hear the Bears were dazed and confused.

The Tribe managed to squeak one out last night, too. Good thing since the Tigers also won their game. We are heading down the home stretch here and the Tribe really needs to get a little farther out ahead of the Tigers in order to keep their place at the top of the AL Central. 4.5 games is still too close for comfort.

Tonight I will be settling in to watch the Colts/Bengals game. I really would like to see Chad Johnson get stomped. He is like a flame about 3 ft. high...burns my bottom!

I am beginning to wonder if just MAYBE the Browns MIGHT give the Squealers a run for their money after all on Sept. 9th?
